Jeju Fall Festival: How to Register for the Seomya Season Night Walk
SOYOU and Jang Minho Concerts, Plus Tapdong Square Fireworks: The Full Schedule

Jeju After Dark Just Got a Lot More Exciting
Living on Jeju Island, South Korea, there’s one comment I hear all the time—but this Jeju fall festival might finally put it to rest.
“There’s nothing to do on Jeju at night.”
Take an evening stroll around Tapdong these days, though, and you’ll realize that’s old news.
It’s the perfect season to throw on a cardigan and enjoy the cool sea breeze.
And this October, Jeju City’s historic downtown is turning into a nighttime festival destination—with a whole evening of activities lined up.
Meet the 2026 Seomya Season: Jeju Historic Downtown Night Travel Festival! This is one to keep on your radar.
A night walk, live music, and fireworks—
all in one evening. If you’re planning things to do in Jeju at night, this deserves a spot on your itinerary.

The evening runs straight through from 6:30 to 8:40 p.m., with one event flowing into the next.
Visit on Saturday, October 17,
and you can enjoy the full lineup: the night walk, concert, and fireworks. That makes Saturday my pick!

Seomya Night Walk: The Festival’s Main Event
The activity getting the most buzz at this year’s Seomya Season is the night walk. And I can see why.
Put on your glow-in-the-dark accessories
and follow a walking loop through the historic downtown after dark.
Just imagining 2,000 people making their way through the streets in a glowing procession has me excited.
Night Walk Route: About 2.5 km (1.6 Miles), Around One Hour
Tapdong Square (start) → Imhang-ro → Sanji-ro
→ Outside Dongmun Market / Tamna Culture Square
→ Chilseong-ro Shopping Street / Gwandeok-ro 11-gil → Tapdong Square (finish)
The route takes you along waterfront Imhang-ro, then follows Sanjicheon Stream,
passing Dongmun Market and the lanes of Chilseong-ro before looping back to Tapdong Square.
It’s a walking tour of some of historic downtown Jeju’s most popular spots,
making it especially appealing for visitors who want to explore Jeju City’s little cornersin one easy outing.
A little local context: Sanjicheon Streamwas once central to daily life for the people living within Jeju’s old city walls, while Chilseong-rois known as Jeju’s original bustling shopping district.
These are streets you might ordinarily walk past without a second glance,
but exploring them at night, with a festival in full swing, should feel completely different.

but finish the walk and you’ll receive a Tamnaneunjeon voucher worth about $7.

With only 2,000 spots available on a first-come, first-served basis,
I’d book ahead before they fill up.

Seomya Concert Lineup: SOYOU and Jang Minho
Once the night walk wraps up and you’ve caught your breath, the Seomya Concert at Tapdong Squaregets underway.

Jang Minho |
Saturday features Jeju-born singer SOYOU.
Sunday brings Jang Minho, known for his appearance on the Korean singing competition Mr. Trot.
I’d pick Saturday for a night out with friends or a partner,
and Sunday if you’re bringing your parents.
Choose whichever lineup suits your group best!
Live music at Tapdong Square, right by the sea—
that alone sounds like a lovely evening.

Tapdong Waterfront Fireworks
Before the concert glow has even worn off,
it’s straight into the fireworks display. What a way to finish the night!
Dates: Both Saturday, October 17, and Sunday, October 18
Time: 8:30–8:40 p.m.
Location: Tapdong Square and the surrounding area
Ten minutes might sound short,
but with fireworks lighting up the sea off Tapdong, I suspect I’ll be busy taking photos the whole time.
For a good view, try to find a spot facing the water while the concert is still on.
Flea Market, Hands-On Activities, and More
During the festival, the Chilseong-ro and Dongmun Market areaswill also host
shopping promotions, hands-on activities, and a flea market.
Walking, music, fireworks, and shopping—
plus a chance to explore the historic downtown’s local businesses.
That makes this Jeju fall festival one of the season’s most well-rounded outings!

What to Know Before Registering
You cannot register under an alias or someone else’s name. You must use your real namewhen booking.
Full refunds are available through Friday, October 16. Cancellations are not permitted after that date.
Check that you’re feeling well enough to participate before joining the walk.
Take extra care to avoid accidents and injuries along the route.
The schedule may change depending on weather conditions.

Spend the day exploring oreum—Jeju’s volcanic hills—the coast, and local restaurants,
then head to historic downtown Jeju for a night walk, live music, and fireworks.
If a Jeju fall festival fits your autumn travel plans,
save October 17–18 for Seomya Season
and put it on your calendar.
