Jeju Ecoland Water Train Guide 2026: Season 3 Dates, Prices & Location

If you’ve been planning a Jeju itinerary lately, you’ve probably seen the Jeju Water Train at least once while looking up things to do.
It kept popping up on my Instagram feed too, so I had to look into it.
Turns out, it’s a summer-only water play experience in Jeju.
I pulled together all the key details here so it’s easy to save for your Jeju trip planning.

What exactly is the Jeju Jocheon Ecoland Water Train?

It’s a seasonal summer program at Ecoland Theme Park in Jocheon-eup, Jeju-si, Jeju Island, South Korea.

This is the Ecoland Water Train everyone talks about.

Normally, the Ecoland train is a peaceful sightseeing ride through the gotjawal forest, but in summer it turns into a splashy attraction with water pouring over the train and full-on water gun battles between passengers.

A lot of people even call it Jeju’s mini version of Waterbomb.
In 2026, it will run under the name 2026 Ecoland COOL Summer Water Train Season 3.
It’s scheduled to operate from Friday, July 3, 2026 through Sunday, August 30, 2026.

The Ecoland Water Train has a limited number of seats for each time slot.
If you want a specific departure time, it’s best to arrive with plenty of time to spare.

Important things to know

1. You can use the attraction 40 minutes after buying your ticket, so plan your time with some buffer.
2. If you purchased the Water Train in advance, you must pick up your Water Train pass at the ticket booth.
3. After receiving your Water Train pass, you also need to pick up a rain poncho at the Lakeside Station café before boarding.
You cannot board the Water Train without wearing the designated poncho.

It’s even more fun if you bring your own water gun or tube.

What does the Ecoland Water Train actually feel like?

From what I found, the Jeju Ecoland Water Train is fun enough that plenty of people specifically seek it out.
After entering Jeju Ecoland, take the train deeper into the park.
If the Water Train is your main goal, it’s easier to move quickly through the middle stops and time your route around your boarding slot.

Once you arrive at Lakeside Station Stop No. 2, you can show your Water Train ticket at Cloud Snack Bar and exchange it for a poncho and a numbered boarding pass with your ride time.
You need to collect that numbered pass at least 15 minutes before boarding in order to ride.

Once you put on the poncho and get your water gun, it’s time to board the Water Train.

The vibe changes the second the Ecoland Water Train pulls out.
Everyone grabs their water guns, gets into battle mode, and fires together whenever targets appear.
Then the staff jump in and turn it into a refreshing mini Jeju Waterbomb-style water fight.

There are even surprise water cannons along the way, so even with a poncho on, you can still get seriously soaked depending on where you sit.

It really feels like a proper Jeju summer festival, and the whole experience lasts about 30 to 40 minutes.

And that’s not even the end of it.

After enjoying the Ecoland Water Train, head over to Forest Park Station Stop No. 3, where kids can enjoy a trampoline and a foot-powered coaster.
There’s also a free water slide, so there are honestly tons of kid-friendly activities here.

And at Lakeside Station, there are live performances at different times depending on the day, which is worth keeping in mind.

What to bring for the Ecoland Water Train

The packing list for the Ecoland Water Train is actually pretty short, so it’s easy to prepare.

1. Swim goggles

2. Towel

4. Waterproof phone pouch

5. Plastic bag

6. Change of clothes (for kids, I recommend rash guards or quick-dry fabrics)

One more thing to know before you go

If you visit outside the operating period, you won’t be able to use the attraction.
Also, the water guns they use are bigger and heavier than you might expect, so for very young kids, I’d recommend bringing a smaller personal water gun.

The Ecoland Water Train is even more fun when you know what to expect ahead of time.
